Cyber Security Analyst

Our client, a pioneering digital banking institution in Hong Kong, is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen their security operations capability. The Role As a Cyber Security Analyst, you'll play a critical role in protecting digital infrastructure and customer data through proactive threat detection, incident response, and continuous security improvement initiatives. Key Accountabilities Security Operations & Threat Management Deploy and optimize enterprise security solutions including SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management tools, and secure internet proxies Lead security incident response activities from detection through resolution and post‑incident analysis Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify and neutralize potential threats before they impact operations Manage threat intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination across technical and strategic levels Analysis & Investigation Triage and investigate security alerts, determining severity and coordinating appropriate responses Perform digital forensic investigations and e‑Discovery activities to support incident resolution Analyse threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to enhance defensive capabilities Review logs and events across operating systems and applications to identify anomalous behaviour Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures Design and facilitate tabletop exercises and incident response simulations Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices Identify opportunities to automate security processes and enhance threat intelligence platforms What You'll Bring Essential Technical Experience Hands‑on expertise with core security technologies: SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, vulnerability management, secure proxies, and open‑source security tools Proven track record in security incident response and management Demonstrable experience in proactive threat hunting methodologies Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and architecture Proficiency in log analysis and correlation across diverse systems Additional Technical Skills Knowledge of containerisation technologies and their security considerations Understanding of multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) Coding/scripting capability (Python, Java, or similar languages preferred) Experience with OSINT techniques and tools Professional Attributes Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities Self‑starter who identifies improvement opportunities and drives them to completion Collaborative team player comfortable working across diverse, cross‑functional teams Commitment to continuous learning in the rapidly evolving cyber security landscape Excellent communication skills for delivering security intelligence to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Why This Opportunity?
