Post-doctoral Fellow in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Global Health Institute School of Public Health (Ref. : ) to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary term contract with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. Applicants should possess a PhD degree in biological sciences or related fields with expertise in bioinformatics and biostatistics and a proven research track record on analysing viral evolution and transmission dynamics using large working knowledge of Python and R programming language is essential. The applicants should have a good command of spoken and written English and strong communication skills; be organized attentive to details responsible self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as in a team. The appointee will be responsible for collaborative projects to identify critical genotypic determinants for antigenicity including epitopes for cross-reactive immunity and forecasting of antigenic variants with the goal to improve vaccine development for influenza and other respiratory diseases.
