Responsibilities Interpret customer requirements and brand aesthetics to design sweaters that meet market expectations. Develop seasonal trend stories, mood boards, design sketches, illustrations, CADs, detailed specs and construction sheets when needed. Collect and analyze trend information relating to colors, yarns, stitches, raw materials, silhouette and styling. Ensure designs can be executed within quality, cost and production constraints. Drive creativity, collaboration, trend research, yarn & material innovation and delivery of high- quality design work in the department. Presentation & Communication Prepare and deliver compelling presentation boards, visual decks and digital assets for internal teams and customers. Support photo/video shoots, styling direction, showroom setups and related design communication materials when needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with merchandising, 3D design technicians, product development teams, suppliers and factory technicians to ensure smooth product execution. Market & Trend Research Conduct ongoing research and prepare regular reports on fashion trends, yarn innovation, competitive benchmarks and global market insights. Stay updated on emerging technologies, consumer behavior and sustainable materials relevant to sweater development. Other Responsibilities Support ad-hoc design, marketing, or product development tasks as assigned. Participate in periodic travel for market research, factory visits, or customer meetings when needed. Requirements University degree in Fashion Design, Knitwear, Textile Design, or related discipline. Minimum 10 years inclusive 5 years of related sweater design experience at supervisory or managerial capacity. Strong knowledge of sweater construction, yarn behavior, knitting techniques, and the end-to-end development process. Experience in other product categories an advantage. Excellent illustration skills and ability to produce high-quality sketches, CADs, and visual presentations. Solid trend awareness and strong color sense; ability to interpret trends into commercially viable sweater designs. Strong aesthetic understanding of both the market and customer needs; highly detail-oriented. Familiar with the U.S/ European apparel market. Proficient in MS Office, PPT, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and AI tools; experience with APEX and CLO3D an advantage. Good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese is preferred.
