Research Focus HKMU conducts research that advances knowledge and enhances teaching, focusing on strategic areas such as digital humanities and literature, international business, gerontechnology, personalised care, smart city, open and innovative education, and bilingual learning and teaching. Job Details Position: Temporary/Part‑time R&DSchool: School of Arts and Social SciencesClosing Date: 03/Dec/2025, 3:59:00 PM Major Duties and Responsibilities Conduct preliminary research related to aging, cultural studies, and psychological studies (UGC/IIDS16/H01/25). Data collection, such as developing questionnaires and conducting interviews. Data analysis and explore ways of data archiving. Conduct workshops and symposiums. Assist in writing papers, reports, and publications. Provide support to the research team, coordinating and liaising with internal and external parties at various levels. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Experience, and Competence Post‑graduate degree (preferably a PhD) in social sciences, community arts, or social well‑being‑related studies. At least 5 years of experience working for NGOs or social/community projects. Experience coordinating events, social projects, and conferences; liaison capacity, and competent social and communication skills. Terms and Conditions for Appointment The successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part‑time fixed‑term contract for one year, working no more than 17 hours per week. Payment will be made on an hourly basis (based on actual work done). Benefits will be provided in accordance with statutory provisions.
