Manager - Events (Kai Tak Stadium) The Manager – Events will be responsible for the planning and delivery of events held at Kai Tak Stadium. The role oversees the overall operations of events and activities at the stadium, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and high service standards. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage events at Kai Tak Sports Park to ensure effective venue management. Coordinate administrative preparation of events, including equipment, materials, and supplies. Assign day‑to‑day work to event coordinators, supervise, and provide training. Develop and deliver functional plans: risk assessments, crowd management, gates, ingress/egress, ticketing, and emergency response. Act as Event Control Manager during nominated events, coordinating all event aspects. Prepare specific event briefings and presentations for stakeholders, staff, and promoter representatives. Coordinate outside service needs, advise organizers, and support clients through the planning process. Assist in developing the venue customer journey, including pre‑event communications, on‑site processes, and post‑event feedback. Collaborate with internal venue departments, providing clear and timely communication to meet high standards. Implement venue rules, policies, and procedures; develop SOPs and monitor compliance. Maintain the venue’s image and generate positive public relations with patrons and staff. Meet with potential clients, advise on venue requirements, and negotiate sales of additional services. Represent the venue at tradeshows, community events, and industry meetings. Assist in annual budget preparation and monthly event activity reporting to the Head of Event Operations. Attend meetings and engagements as required by the Head of Event Operations. Arrange and roster staff for events in a safe, cost‑effective manner, aligning with business requirements. Serve as a keyholder for the venue and assist with emergency procedures. Plan and facilitate staff training sessions and emergency response exercises. Assist in managing and developing casual staff supporting events. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Hospitality Management, Event Management, or related disciplines. Minimum 6 years of experience in sizeable companies, preferably in a major sports, entertainment or multi‑purpose venue with crowds exceeding 10,000. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; good logical thinking, problem‑solving, and negotiation abilities. Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, able to meet strict deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks. Flexible and able to work under pressure. Capable of handling ad‑hoc and/or multiple concurrent projects. Good awareness of health and safety issues related to venue and event management. Experience in producing, organizing, or delivering live events is an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing. Good command of both English and Chinese in speaking and writing.
