Assistant Social Work Officer (Department of Psychiatry) (NTE ) Department/Cluster : Department of Psychiatry, New Territories East Cluster Pay : HK$39,485 to HK$87,341 (HGPS Point 16 to 33) per month including Monthly Allowance Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff at the end of each 3 years during the 9‑year contract period subject to satisfactory performance. Key Responsibilities Working as a member of medical team to support multidisciplinary school platform. Providing services to support targeted students including the delivery of annual screening exercise, educational talks and training workshops. Providing individual and/or group intervention to students identified with subclinical anxiety and or depressive features in collaboration with other professionals of the school platform. Coordinating and working closely with other professionals in the implementation of support services for referred cases and making advice on service matching. Any job‑related duties assigned by senior. Entry Requirements (a) A degree in Social Work from a local university, or equivalent. (b) A degree from a local university, or equivalent and have successfully completed a one‑year post‑graduate course in Social Work at a local university, or equivalent. (c) A degree from a local university, or equivalent and have successfully completed a two‑year post‑graduate course in Social Work or possess a Master’s degree in Social Work from a local university, or equivalent. Registration with and a valid registration certificate issued by the Hong Kong Social Workers Registration Board. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese. (Note: Equivalent qualifications are those recognised for registration with the Social Workers Registration Board.) Preferred Attributes / Exposure (a) Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent. (b) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, or equivalent. Proficient in interpersonal and communication skills.
