Supervisor, Shipping

Our client XH Supply Chain Management (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Supervisor, Shipping to join their team What you'll be doing? Oversee shipping activities: Manage all aspects of shipping, from planning to execution, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. Update shipment records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records, providing relevant information to stakeholders. Plan work schedules: Coordinate work schedules and transport processes to optimize operational efficiency. Analyze transport usage: Conduct thorough analysis on transport usage, volume, and trends to identify areas for improvement. Resolve discrepancies: Address damages and discrepancies with shippers, vendors, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth operations. Implement inventory control: Develop and implement inventory control systems to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory. Generate reports: Create regular inventory reports and dashboards for management review, providing insights into inventory performance. Support the team: Perform additional tasks as required to support the team and achieve organizational goals. Who are they looking for? Higher education: A Higher Diploma or above in Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines is preferred. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in trading, shipping or logistics industry is preferred. Experience in handling shipping documents from Mainland/Oversea to HK and import to Macau is also preferred. Independent and self-motivated: Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing shipping activities. Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail in maintaining accurate shipment records and resolving discrepancies. Well-organized: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Microsoft Office proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookup, etc) and Chinese word processing is essential. Language proficiency: Good written and spoken English and Chinese proficiency is required to effectively communicate with stakeholders. Why should you consider this opportunity?
