Overview We are seeking a Senior System Architect to lead and oversee complex projects, ensuring successful implementation and delivery of high-quality application systems. Responsibilities Project Management: Manage and implement project details, schedule planning, clarify user requirements, and prepare functional and technical specifications. System Analysis: Analyze and specify application systems requirements and design, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with application vendors to ensure timely delivery that meets the agreed scope and schedule. Documentation Oversight: Ensure all project documentation is completed on time, maintained up-to-date, and of high quality. Methodology Development: Assist in establishing efficient and effective development methodologies, protocols, and standards of practice. Technical Design: Identify system inputs and outputs, modify processes, and develop technical designs, system manuals, and program specifications. Testing Coordination: Design systems tests to ensure all components interact and operate effectively; provide technical support during user acceptance testing. Production Support: Coordinate with data center operators for production launches and assume responsibility for production support in a maintenance environment. Issue Management: Handle routine technical issues, monitor project progress, and escalates issues to supervisors with recommended solutions. Quality Assurance: Ensure software vendors meet quality standards for their services and products. User Support & Training: Provide user support, training, and facilitate cross-team knowledge transfer where appropriate. Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake additional projects as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in system architecture and project management. Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL and scripting skills, especially with MySQL and SQL Server. Business Analysis Skills: Demonstrated experience in business analysis and system design. Adaptability: Passion for learning and adopting new technologies. Responsibility: Strong sense of accountability and ownership of projects. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
