THE POSITION We are looking for an investment professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for equity markets to join our Equity Portfolio Management team. This team manages investments in Chinese equities, including China‑focused strategies as well as broader Emerging Markets strategies. The team’s investment philosophy is based on investing over the long term in high quality companies with strong organic growth and good governance standards that are under‑appreciated by the analyst. The investor will focus on identifying quality businesses across the greater China equity markets using a fundamentally driven and deeply analytical approach. A deep understanding of the local markets will be key along with fluent Mandarin (written and spoken) and demonstrated experience researching and investing in Chinese companies. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Investment acumen and passion: Understand the China equity market, identify mispricing and valuation discrepancies, make investment recommendations, and communicate findings to China Equity portfolio management teams as well as emerging markets and global equity PMs. Superior collaboration and influencing skills: Enjoy being an individual contributor within a highly collaborative team, build strong trusting relationships internally and externally, take risk and challenge investment views, communicate action‑oriented opinions clearly and with conviction. Growth mindset: Flexibility, openness to continuous learning, and a creative approach to innovation in Chinese and global capital markets. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 6‑8 years of relevant experience in an investment analyst role with demonstrated success. Extensive experience in Chinese equities and/or Asian equities with a strong track record of impactful research and alpha generation. Written and spoken business Mandarin skills. Philosophical alignment with the team’s approach. Ability to research from a top‑down and bottom‑up perspective. Independence of thought, curiosity, self‑awareness, and self‑confidence. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative results‑oriented environment. Strong academic credentials; MBA / CFA preferred.
