Job Summary We are looking for an ambitious and self‑driven individual who is ready to take the next step in their development within Techtronic Industries and join the Milwaukee Tool business unit in the position of Purchasing Manager for Personal Protective Equipment . Main responsibilities will be supplier identification, cost management/analysis, and supplier relationship management for key categories in the PPE business unit. We are looking for someone with a solid level of financial literacy as well as the skillset to negotiate and leverage our position in the industry to drive out cost and improve vendor performance. This position would be based in Hong Kong and would require frequent travel throughout Asia. This position would report directly to the Vice President of Purchasing for Milwaukee Tools who is based in Hong Kong. Responsibilities Plan and manage the Milwaukee PPE outsourcing strategy Negotiate pricing and control costs even under periods of rising commodity prices and other pressures Manage communication of outsourced projects back to the product development teams in the US and globally Diversify the outsource product range to different suppliers and countries based on cost/benefit analysis Develop a cost reduction strategy on the existing range Monitor industry trends and make recommendations to management Monitor commodity and exchange rate trends and react appropriately Ensure suppliers implementing all regulatory, safety and quality requirements Manage customer visits & tours Perform other ad‑hoc duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or other relevant discipline With relevant work experience preferred Excellent communication skills with both the Milwaukee Markets and our vendors Critical thinker and problem‑solving skills – able to clearly summarize information and confidently make recommendations to management Understanding of the PPE landscape Sense of ownership and strive for excellence Ambition to continue to learn and develop Hands‑on work style Ability to work with different cultures Benefits We offer 5‑day week, competitive remuneration package including double pay, medical, life & personal accident insurances, education sponsorship and good career prospects to the right candidate.
