Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Social Work / Psychology (two posts) College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self‑financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees and develops its two educational units – Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) – with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education. We now invite applications for the following posts under the Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design (Ref. ): Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Social Work / Psychology (two posts) Duties Engage in teaching, programme/curriculum planning and development Provide academic leadership in teaching‑related activities Contribute to programme validation and quality assurance Carry out research and scholarly work Perform academic and administrative duties Liaise with industries, professional bodies and organisations Perform any other duties as assigned Appointees may be required to take up assignments and work outside Hong Kong occasionally. Qualifications A higher degree, preferably a doctoral degree in related disciplines Solid relevant teaching, research/consultancy and/or industrial experience For the discipline of Social Work, applicants should hold a Registered Social Worker certificate issued by the Social Workers Registration Board and have not less than five years of post‑degree professional practice experience, preferably specialising in community and macro practice, and/or mental well‑being Excellent teaching performance Good academic leadership in programme management and development A good scholarly and/or professional engagement record Good communication and leadership skills Applicants with less teaching and/or research/consultancy experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer. Conditions of Service An attractive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a two‑year contract. Re‑engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Consideration of applications will commence on 28 November 2025 until the positions are filled.
