Head of Global Secondary Hedge Fund Selection and Investments Product Selection and Investment Management Lead the selection, evaluation, and investment decision-making of global secondary hedge fund products, ensuring alignment with the firm’s investment strategy and client objectives. Utilize the company’s proprietary KYP (Know Your Product) system to systematically assess potential hedge fund products in terms of risk, return, and investment strategy, ensuring diversification and high conviction across the portfolio. Adjust portfolio strategies based on market developments and client needs, optimizing the product mix to balance risk and return. Manager Relations and Resource Integration Establish and maintain long‑term partnerships with leading hedge fund managers on Wall Street, continuously expanding and optimizing external manager resources. Conduct in‑depth due diligence and periodic performance reviews to evaluate hedge fund managers’ consistency, performance, and stability. Collaborate closely with internal management and research teams to hold regular investment strategy discussions and product review meetings. Market Research and Trend Analysis Monitor global market dynamics, macroeconomic trends, and asset class performance to deliver forward‑looking market insights. Provide strategic recommendations and adjustments in response to evolving market conditions to ensure portfolio stability and efficiency. Client Management and Reporting Provide clients with regular portfolio updates and investment recommendations, ensuring transparency and understanding of fund performance, risks, and strategies. Prepare customized client reports and presentations; address client inquiries related to fund performance and investment outlook. Risk Management and Compliance Ensure strict adherence to risk control standards throughout the investment process to mitigate potential risks. Contribute to the formulation of risk management strategies and ensure compliance with all relevant policies to protect both client and firm interests. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Investment, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in hedge funds, asset management, or related fields, including at least 5 years of direct experience with top‑tier Wall Street hedge funds. In‑depth understanding of the hedge fund landscape, including multiple investment strategies and risk management frameworks. Skills and Competencies Proven track record in hedge fund product selection and the ability to independently assess manager quality and fund potential. Strong market research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret global macroeconomic and market developments and adjust strategies accordingly. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients, fund managers, and internal stakeholders. Proficient in financial analysis tools with solid quantitative analysis and backtesting capabilities. Resources and Network Extensive network and relationships with leading Wall Street hedge fund managers, with the ability to build and sustain partnerships with top‑tier investment managers. Deep industry background and network to identify and source high‑quality investment opportunities and market intelligence. Language Requirements Fluent in English with the ability to conduct international business communications seamlessly. Proficiency in other languages (such as Mandarin) is a plus.
