Senior Specialist (Systems Infrastructure) - SWIFT Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is a private organization jointly owned by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and The Hong Kong Association of Banks. The Company’s key objective is to develop and operate a safe and efficient multi‑currency and multi‑dimensional financial infrastructure in Hong Kong for: large‑value interbank fund transfers denominated in HKD, USD, Euro and RMB; interbank money settlement of equity and debt securities transactions in Hong Kong via the linkages with the Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited and the HKMA’s Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) system; small‑value interbank fund transfers denominated in HKD and RMB via the HKD and RMB Faster Payment System; and interbank clearing and/or money settlement of retail payments, such as paper cheques, autocredits, credit card payments, etc. in Hong Kong. The Company is also the operator of the HKMA’s CMU system. Apart from interbank clearing‑and‑settlement services, the Company and its subsidiaries also support the HKMA and the financial industry to foster the development of the financial technology (“FinTech”) ecosystem in Hong Kong. We are looking for a suitable candidate to take up the following job position. Major Responsibilities Assist in the system architectural design and solutions for the SWIFT infrastructure and AIX related system software to meet business requirements and cost‑effectiveness. Undertake SWIFT system administrator role for managing and administrating SAA, SAG, SNL, HSM, WebAccess, FINplus, SWIFTNet InterAct and Browse. Devise proper design and procedures for SWIFT infrastructure and operation including data backup and restore, data recovery, disaster recovery, data mirroring, HA solution, security setup, 7x24 operation and other related features. Perform system infrastructure installation and periodic hardware/software upgrade and apply security and software patches to the SWIFT and AIX related system software. Conduct system monitoring, performance tuning and capacity planning; and perform trouble‑shooting, problem solving and incident management. Develop and keep up‑to‑date documentation of SWIFT architecture. Maintain high system availability by managing and maintaining effective emergency fix, recovery and contingency processes; and maintain data integrity and ensure high data security. Work closely with other technical teams and external vendors for SWIFT system set‑up and configuration. Provide technical assistance to the application development teams on SWIFT architectural design for project development. Design, produce and conduct appropriate training sessions for colleagues on new developments in SWIFT infrastructure and provide advice on the features and use of SWIFT software and utilities. Investigate developments in the software packages and utilities areas (e.g. SWIFT‑related); and make appropriate proposals on the improvement of services delivered to users of the computer systems. Provide 7x24 on‑call for emergency production incidents and provide on‑site support for fire‑fighting. Perform other duties as assigned by the superiors. Requirements University degree in electrical/electronic, computer engineering/science or related discipline. Minimum 7 years’ systems administration and support experience of which at least 2 years must be solid in administration role for SWIFT technical support. Solid knowledge of SAA, SAG and related system components. Good knowledge of AIX platform and/or other Unix systems and related system software. Willing to perform evening and holiday shift duties for supporting operation. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Excellent problem‑solving skills including root‑cause analysis. Able to pick up new skills through self‑learning and on‑the‑job training. Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure.
