Responsibilities:

  • As a Java Backend Software Engineer at Pinpoint Asia, your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing, developing, and implementing software platforms for customer onboarding, order management, and reporting systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
  • Participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high-quality code standards.
  • Strong technologist with a passion for high-quality engineering and problem-solving.
  • Good collaboration with team members and stakeholders across the globe.
  • Has a career development path with opportunities to grow, learn, and develop beyond a certain technical skill set.
  • Agile development principles, methodologies, and DevOps adoption of CI/CD/CM.

Key Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in developing backend software solutions using Java and Spring technologies.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with Domain Driven Design and Event/Message based architectures.
  • Proficiency in working with MQs and Kafka for message queueing and streaming.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD/CM processes and tools for automated software deployment.
  • Nice to Haves:
  • While not required, the following skills and experiences would be beneficial for the role:
  • Knowledge of financial industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Previous experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
