Our client is a leading foreign corporate bank expanding their SME Banking team in Hong Kong. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and building long-lasting relationships with clients across Greater China.

They are seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join their SME Banking team, focusing on Taiwanese and Chinese large-scale SME clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow with a respected foreign financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of SME clients, primarily Taiwanese and Chinese enterprises.
  • Identify and acquire new SME banking relationships through proactive business development.
  • Structure appropriate banking solutions, including lending, trade finance, and treasury products.
  • Analyze financial statements and prepare credit proposals.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and maintain credit quality.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for smooth client onboarding and servicing.
  • Conduct regular client visits and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across the bank's product suite.

Role Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience as an SME Relationship Manager in commercial banking.
  • Strong network within the Taiwanese and Chinese business communities in Hong Kong.
  • Proven track record in business development and portfolio management.
  • Excellent understanding of credit analysis and risk assessment.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset.
