Job Title: Trading Assistant / Sales Assistant
Duration: 6 months
Location: Hong Kong
Assist the FICC Sales desk with trade related admin (non-client facing), coordination of client onboarding, refresh and remediation exercises, and general administration and reporting tasks.
JD:
Trade related admin
- Take ownership of end-to-end trade processes and problem solving
- Help correct or amend trades for Sales.
- Add credit code/credit margin booking.
- Investigate operational issues and follow up on trade settlements, with various internal teams
- Pro-active with IT on systems to provide feedback and ways to improve our daily roles; take on ad hoc projects to improve daily routine and team efficiency.
Assist with Onboarding
- Submit KYC/AML request on internal bank system for client’s entities and coordinate the completion of KYC/AML/ mnemonic set up until Clients are good to trade.
- Liaise and coordinate with Agreement and Reg Reform teams to ensure all agreements are in place, submit request, follow up and completion of process.
- Ensure all accounts are Good to Trade by checking each regulator’s and bank’s internal requirements (Reg requirements, HKPI, HKTR, DF, UMR, EMIR & MIFID checks)
- Assist in ad hoc remediation exercises for any such gaps in regulatory requirements
Administration/Reporting/Analysis
- Sales credit tracking, mapping, and investigate missing sales credit in Compass system
- Assist sales management on revenue and budget reports
- Provide assistance to FICC sales for ad hoc management reporting e.g. weekly reporting of transactions and/or analysis of sales data
- Support sales in setting clients up on client’s platforms / reporting / distribution lists (e.g. applying for research access, coordinating with middle and back-office teams for distribution of valuation reports/confirmations etc.)
Assist with ad-hoc projects or other duties as assigned. e.g., coordinating client outreach for research calls/events, client wallet mapping exercises, analysing client trade data/statistics to identify potential gaps/opportunities.
