Virtualisation Consultant

Position Purpose

Virtualization Consultant based in Hong Kong, you will be working as a member of APAC IAAS Virtualization on the SGX DC relocation project.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate on IT assets (VMware vSphere Infrastructure) relocation.
Works with Project Leads and Virtualization SMEs on project planning activities.
Ensure requests are always well addressed, in a timely manner, with appropriate reporting.
Work closely with Infrastructure teams, Application teams, and peers to define clear specifications and gather requirements.
Do regular follow up with Infrastructure team, Application Support team, Business, and peers.

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)
Proven experience on managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including data center relocations with virtualization infrastructure assets.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure components on VMware vSphere is a must.
Familiarity with regional IT vendors.
Effective communication skills for managing stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management abilities.
Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Specific Qualifications preferred
Technical experience on UNIX/Windows servers, storage, switches, and firewalls will be an advantage.
ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
