Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the IT team, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in IT processes and systems.
- Development:
- Lead software development initiatives, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions are delivered.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Oversee the development life cycle, including coding standards, testing, and deployment.
- Infrastructure:
- Manage and optimize the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of IT infrastructure to support business operations.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure management and security.
- Project Management:
- Lead and oversee IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Cyber Security:
- Develop and implement robust cyber security measures and protocols.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber security trends and threats, and proactively address vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within the IT department of a medium to large size organization, preferably in the life insurance industry.
- Strong expertise in software development, infrastructure management, project management, and cyber security.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
