ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a proactive Logistics Manager to join our team, supporting the overall supply chain and logistics management, including managing transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. To handle negotiations with vendors to achieve optimum rates and continually monitor factors like fuel costs and legislation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  2. Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
  3. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
  4. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  5. Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
  6. Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  7. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  8. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  9. Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements in logistics operations

You Have:

  1. Proven experience as a Logistics Manager
  2. Degree or Masters in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline is required
  3. Strong understanding of logistics processes and supply chain management principles
  4. Excellent organisational & communication skills
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  7. Ability to work at own initiative
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office
  9. Experience in a warehouse environment is a distinct advantage
