Responsibilities

The role of IT Infrastructure & Cloud Architect is responsible for the design and maintenance of cloud landing zones, ensuring security, staying current with infrastructure trends, and recommending future strategies. The role requires expertise in Azure and AWS, Microsoft Teams Telephony, zero trust principles, and InfoSec knowledge. The position will report to the Infrastructure & Cloud Manager and does not have direct reports.

The role is expected to:

  • Cloud Landing Zones: Design and maintain cloud landing zones, ensuring they meet security and operational requirements.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security measures, including zero trust principles, to protect the firm's IT infrastructure.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up to date with emerging infrastructure technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations for future infrastructure and cloud initiatives.
  • Microsoft Teams Telephony: Manage and support Microsoft Teams Telephony to ensure seamless communication within the firm.
  • InfoSec: Apply information security knowledge to safeguard the firm's data and IT assets.
Qualification / Person Specification
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure operations, with at least 5 years at a managerial level. Prior working experience in the legal industry is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, ITIL, CISSP, CCNA) are advantageous.
  • Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in both Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Telephony: Experience with Microsoft Teams Telephony.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of zero trust principles and information security.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to articulate complex technologies to non-technical stakeholders and help technical teams understand business requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Financial Management: Appreciation of value achieved through astute financial management, including budget planning and operational expense management.
  • Discretion: High level of discretion in preserving the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proactivity: Ability to be proactive and creative in identifying and solving problems.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle setbacks and maintain resilience.
