This is a great moment to join us as we are hiring an Associate Product Specialist (12-month contract). This position is based in Hong Kong.

What you will do

As part of the Asia Pacific equity investment team, the equity product specialist team based in Hong Kong and Singapore is the interface between the AllianzGI equity investment team and other departments such as distribution and marketing to support business development and product management. You will work with the investment team to serve as an internal and external advocate for the Asia Equity strategies managed on the platform. The responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and ensuring consistency of data and presentation material for product specialists and portfolio managers at client events
  • Writing and articulation of portfolio relevant commentaries for regular client reporting and marketing material
  • Regular interaction with portfolio managers and investment team members to ensure the correct delivery of investment related messages in marketing material
  • Assisting with the dissemination of product information to relevant stakeholders
  • Developing competitor analysis to understand the key points of differentiation compared to key peers
  • Participating in regional product specialist team activities related to product campaigns motivated by the AllianzGI distribution and marketing teams, and product development initiatives.

In the longer term, you will:

  • Represent fund managers at client and consultant meetings, marketing events.
  • Originate product information with focus on the investment process, performance explanation, portfolio holdings and illustration of investment case
  • Own and lead the external and internal communication of investment related content for marketing purposes

What you bring

  • Preferably 2-5 years of professional experience in investment/asset management industry, with understanding of investment markets and portfolio management theory. Internship experience also counted
  • Institutional sales, product advisory, fund selection or client service experience also considered
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a desire to learn about different investment styles, philosophies, and processes
  • Strong analytical skills. Precise, attention to detail, proactive
  • Team player with ability to build relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Fluency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Bloomberg, Morningstar, and CFA qualification beneficial
