Position DescriptionWhat You'll Do
  • Develop safety and compliance improvement programs to continuously enhance safety and quality standards at the frontline.
  • Collaborate with BM, LM, QA, S&E to foster a safety & quality mindset in BM & LM.
  • Participate in HAECO Investigation Process (HIP) and HIRA process to perform root cause analysis, generate remedial actions to prevent recurrence, drive sustainable solutions, and monitor actions as per plan.
  • Partner with QA to ensure safety audit programs (internal and external) adhere to the plan and fulfill compliance requirements.
  • Hold regular meetings to discuss the current work environment, quality assurance, staff behaviors, and other safety and compliance-related issues.
  • Review and comment on amendments to SOP, GTI, EPM proposed by operation departments to ensure quality, applicability, and standardization across the departments.

Task-oriented training

  • Lead the TOT team to develop and deliver task-oriented training to frontline staff, instilling a safety and compliance mindset.
  • Regularly review and update TOT training and briefing content to ensure updated policies, cases, and information are cascaded to frontline.
  • Partner with S&E and QA to ensure safety training, such as situation awareness and human factor training, is delivered effectively.
  • Maintain and review the staff competence program.
  • Collaborate with BM, LM, TA, and QA to develop staff advancement programs.

Equipment

  • Ensure sufficient and suitable tools and equipment are available.
  • Advocate for technology enhancement such as tracking systems and modified tools and equipment.
  • Liaise with departments to ensure the GSE maintenance schedule is on track.
  • Conduct risk assessments of GSE and provide mitigation measures to ensure tools are maintained and calibrated properly.
  • Lead the team to provide ad-hoc repair and improvement of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
  • Prepare budgets and monitor the CAPEX of GSE, equipment, and tools for BM and LM.
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 10 years related experience preferably in line/base maintenance of an airline's engineering department or an aircraft maintenance repair organization or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Experience of working with a wide range of quality and safety programs.
  • Experience in project management and lean initiatives.
  • Degree holder or holder of HKAR 66 B1 or B2 License or equivalent.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Able to work in Hong Kong.
