Retail & Operations Supervisor (Travel Retail – Hong Kong & Macau)
As the Retail & Operations Supervisor, you will oversee sales associates and on-site operations across travel retail counters in Hong Kong and Macau, including airport, border and port duty-free shops. You will drive sales performance, uphold global brand standards, support training and development, manage operational execution, prepare performance reports and act as a key liaison between the premium liquor brand, agency, duty-free operators and frontline teams.
Key responsibilities
Organise regular one-on-one and group meetings with sales associates to review sales progress, follow up on execution and deliver sales coaching.
Conduct site visits to coach, motivate and monitor selling performance.
Support sales associate onboarding, training and performance feedback.
Coordinate shift arrangements and resolve on-site staff issues.
Ensure compliance with global brand standards for visual merchandising, displays and counter presentation.
Carry out brand audits and follow up on corrective actions.
Support brand campaigns, new product launches and promotional activities at duty-free outlets.
Liaise with brand owners, duty-free operators and internal stakeholders to resolve operational matters, including stock, display requests and customer feedback.
Collect sales and stock data, prepare regular performance reports, identify performance gaps and share market and competitor observations.
Monitor stock condition and discrepancies, ensuring all activities comply with local alcohol regulations, airport requirements and operator rules.
Complete other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the reporting lead.
What we're looking for
3-5 years of experience in travel retail or duty-free supervision.
Experience in premium liquor or luxury is preferred, while experience with Hong Kong or Macau duty-free operators is an advantage.
A proven track record in coaching sales teams, driving sales targets and conducting brand standard audits.
Good Excel and PowerPoint skills for sales tracking and performance reporting.
Strong communication skills with the ability to align multiple stakeholders.
Willingness to travel frequently between Hong Kong and Macau and work flexible hours to match duty-free operations.
Fluent English, fluent Cantonese and conversational Mandarin.
