Craft Bamboo is a highly regarded and recognised international motorsport and media group. The primary operations of the Group are Craft-Bamboo Racing and CBR Media.

Craft-Bamboo Racing is a Mercedes-AMG Performance Partner Team, competing in internationally significant events such as the GT World Challenge Asia, FIA Macau GT World Cup, Super Taikyu Endurance Series in Japan, and the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

CBR Media is an integrated marketing and consulting management agency specialising in the motorsport and automotive industries, with a diverse client base.

The right candidate for the accountant role will be not only the primary driver of the accounting and finance functions of the Group but a key business partner to the management team and stakeholders in ensuring the future development and growth of the business.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:1) ACCOUNTING
  • Prepare, manage and oversee daily accounting bookings for group entities;
  • Primary contact point and liaison with debtors, creditors, suppliers and all invoicing parties;
  • Liaise with the race team, media team and management on all accounting matters;
  • Prepare management reporting, analysis and month-end closing;
  • Work closely with Directors and project managers for cashflow planning, project business case development and budget requirements;
  • Train and develop additional accounting resources to grow the finance team;
  • Drive management reporting development to support better business decision processes.
2) GOVERNANCE
  • Liaise with Auditors and Tax Advisors in relation to annual review and reporting requirements;
  • Prepare and manage monthly management meetings with Directors and management;
  • Ensure regulatory, tax and audit filings are completed;
  • Guide Directors and management in relation to correct accounting practices, governance oversight, and procedures;
  • Review and improve processes and operations around payments, expenses and reporting.
3) FINANCIAL OPERATIONS
  • Work with all business units to streamline and improve processes;
  • Ensure financial and operational systems and data are backed up, resilient and accessible at all times.
4) OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
  • Manage daily office administration requirements - office supplies, facilities, rent, utilities;
  • Liaise with IT and premises service providers as required.
5) HR & MPF ADMINISTRATION
  • Manage MPF Filing and administration on a monthly basis;
  • Oversee booking of staff leave, medical claims and benefit payments;
  • Liaise with HR / Medical / MPF service providers as required;
  • Manage monthly payroll requirements to ensure timely processing;
  • Assist Directors with employment, recruitment and other matters as required.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:1) ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 8+ years post qualification accounting experience;
  • Skilled in preparation of HK statutory accounts, working with auditors, and solid working knowledge of HK Taxation;
  • Strong Business English communication skills are essential. International operations and clients require high-level English language skills;
  • Cantonese language skills are a requirement to manage local suppliers service providers, and local regulatory requirements;
  • Proven accounting skills and knowledge. Must be up to date with all accounting requirements and standards;
  • Motivated, team-oriented, pragmatic thinker, with proven problem-solving skills;
  • Confident, well spoken, professional approach to working in a dynamic and diverse environment;
  • Reliable, dependable, with a clear and focused work ethic;
  • Skill, and commitment to develop into a key member of the management team.
2) PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge of, and interest in motorsport, marketing and PR would be an advantage;
  • Experience with arranging and managing monthly management meetings, board meetings, and meeting minutes;
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting, with tracking performance against plans;
  • HR and Payroll Administration experience would be an advantage.
