JobMission:

The IT Asset Manager, Asia Pacific, is responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure an up-to-date Asset Inventory and compliance with vendor contracts. The individual will align and implement procurement strategies and asset policies to optimize technology spending, manage obsolescence and ensure their sustainable usage across the organization. The IT Asset Manager will also develop and implement procedures and governance for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles in compliance with company policies. TheITAssetManager willwork and align initiatives with Global, Regional and Market IT teams as well as with Indirect Procurement, Sustainability and Legal teams across Asia Pacific. The individual will be responsible for implementing budgetary guidance, leveraging asset data to transparently forecast future investments as part of the asset lifecycle.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Formulates and implements processes, procedures and systems for tracking and analyzing software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement. Account for the IT assets throughout the company utilizing tools to manage all assets within the organization. Develop and conduct training as needed for use by other teams to maintain inventory. Manage acquisition of assets from planning through deployment at regional level. Report to senior management ITAM/life cycles and resolve conflicts. Verify, enter, and adjust equipment IT asset management data in a variety of forms, schedules, and reports. Track entire life-cycle management for each asset to maintain warranty information, refresh date, and end of life data information. Work directly with the IT teams to maintain 100 percent inventory accuracy. Develop & maintain written plans, policies, and procedures to document processes to support the asset management lifecycle. Define and maintain the APAC asset catalog considering business requirements. Conduct annual inventory audit and develop process and procedures to ensure accuracy. Develop, implement, maintain eWaste policies, measurements (Co2), and procedures; apply governance and regular reporting. Support Regional and Market IT teams in managing the budget plans and their forecasting in association with their managed assets. Manage and maintain relationship with major hardware/software vendors. Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience

At least 5+ years’ experience in IT Asset Management, preferably with experience working in a retail organization. Specific experience evaluating, recommending, and implementing IT Asset Management solutions. Knowledge of the following technologies with specific experience with at least one vendor under each domain: compute (Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM including blade servers), collaboration (Cisco, IBM, Microsoft), database (Oracle, SQL Server), data protection (Veeam), mobile device management (InTunes, Jamf), networking (Cisco, Fortinet), operating systems (Windows, Windows Server Unix, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android), storage (EMC, IBM, NetApp), virtualization (Citrix, Mircosoft Hyper-V, VMware). Experience in scoping, planning, and managing complex and concurrent technical activities supported by a strong understanding of IT project management; demonstrated ability to manage scope, timeline, budget, and change (adoption). Experience with business requirements gathering and analysis. Understanding of information processing principles and practices. Experience developing business cases and negotiating with vendors. Experience using ServiceNow for Inventory Management is a plus.

Organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proven rapid learning capability. Exceptional customer service orientation. Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills required. Demonstrates cross-cultural effectiveness and capability of driving change. The ability to see structure and bring order to undefined (or poorly defined) processes, as well as develop and implement processes, are a necessity. Understanding of ISO 9001 a plus.
