Position Overview

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic Senior Chemist to join our growing team. In this role, you will contribute to HPLC analytical method development in the pharmaceutical and TCM areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Traditional Chinese Medicines / Pharmaceutical Science relevant fields and a passion for promoting health and wellness. 

  

Chemist Opportunities 

You will be involved in the planning and execution of pharmaceutical development programs for innovative products for the company, and working with a team of professionals to develop platform technology for the company. You will also acquire understanding of the scientific knowledge and technical know-how required for pharmaceutical advanced formulation technology. You will build up strength in the competitive environment of local and global pharmaceutical industries. Candidates with more related experience will be considered for the Senior Chemist position.

Requirements

What You'll Be Doing

  • Look up literature to derive analytical methods for Ingredient selection test of R&D newly sourced TCM materials. 
  • Assist in formulation & technology development
  • Design method development and assay test of markers in TCM extracts and herbs. 
  • Operate analytical instruments such as HPLC, LC-MS, and HPTLC etc. 
  • Prepare analytical method transfer to the QC team. Maintain a database of records, including methodology and results. 
  • Supervise junior staff in performing their tasks. 
  • Other R&D duties assigned by supervisor. 
  • Candidates with more experiences will be considered as Senior Chemist
     

Who We're Looking For

  • Degree or above in Chemistry / Traditional Chinese Medicines / Pharmaceutical Science or related disciplines. 
  • More than 3 years in HPLC analytical method development in pharmaceutical and TCM area. 
  • Familiar with HPLC, LC/MS, and HPTLC instrumentation. 
  • Independent work with little supervision. 
  • Knowledge in traditional Chinese medicine is preferred. Understanding the specific marker of TCM responsible for health function is required. 
  • Able to cope with stress and work in an orderly manner.
