Oversee the underwriting process to ensure policies are issued in compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations Assist with the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines and procedures Review and approve or deny underwriting decisions made by team members Provide guidance and support to underwriters on complex cases, including research and analysis of medical and financial information Collaborate with other departments, including actuarial, products, sales marketing, and claims team to ensure a smooth workflow and timely policy issuance Analyze underwriting data and provide feedback on team and individual performance Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in underwriting Support Underwriting projects including product setup, system testing and Underwriting process enhancement Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field Minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience in life insurance Experience on Underwriting project and system development is preferred Strong knowledge of underwriting principles and practices  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word Knowledge of underwriting software and databases preferred
