Wealth and Personal Banking has four key business areas responsible for efficiently bringing the best of HSBC to our clients through a broad and relevant suite of wealth and retail banking capabilities: Asset Management, Global Private Banking & Wealth, HSBC Life, Retail Banking & Strategy and COO & Digital Transformation.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Mobile Banking.

Responsibilities: Wealth and Personal Banking serves millions of customers worldwide with a complete range of banking and wealth management services to enable them to manage their finances and build their financial futures. It is a global business that brings together management responsibility for Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Insurance and Asset Management with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative distribution channels.

As part of the WPB RB&S team, the Digital Platforms team supports the delivery of industry leading digital experiences globally for WPB by:

Working closely with Markets and key stakeholders, Digital Platform is accountable for design decisions and feature prioritisation to deliver the Best Mobile Banking in the world, and robust Digital Security and Online Bank (OLB) platforms.   Accountable for the Digital Platform VS delivery (on time, on budget), implementing the approved Digital Platform roadmap, leveraging scale & continuous delivery practices. Responsible for the implementation and management of capabilities to enable hyper-personalisation at the Mobile and Online Bank, ensuring CEXP is coherent and aligned to approved scenarios (features, UX). Also accountable for designing and delivering an agile operating model to optimise digital adoption, commercial performance and CEX. Manages the Digital Platform Governance , in particular collaborating with Markets and stakeholders on the future roadmap and transformation agenda. Defines the business architecture and resilience standards for Mobile, OLB and Security platforms. Global risk steward for Digital Platform , coordinating with 2LOD and IT, and leading read across to learn and act on market risk incidents.

The Head of Mobile Banking will own the business strategy for the Mobile channel including single / multiple app considerations and convergence of existing apps. The role holder will work closely with Design teams to define the evolution of the mobile information architecture and mobile experience over the medium term, as well as owning mobile business platform decisions such as app stores, handset support and OS support.

Protect customer centric experience of mobile, accountable for Design decisions and Feature prioritisation Set guardrails / principles, in partnership with the browser platform on key digital experiences ensuring total sum of output from value streams are consistent from a customer perspective in terms of experience, outcome, and objective. Define and manage the benchmark and customer insights for Mobile, to inform the future roadmap. Accountable for the VS delivery (on time, on budget), implementing the approved Mobile roadmap, accountable for closing the gap vs competitors (UX and Features). Define and deliver common mobile platform capabilities consumed by all Value Streams, customer journey tagging, A/B testing, as well as business outcomes, aligned to technical outcomes Implement and manage capabilities to enable hyper-personalisation of the Mobile app Ensures CEXP is coherent at Mobile, aligned to approved scenarios (features, UX, personalisation) Design and deliver an agile operating model to optimise digital adoption, commercial performance and CEX Accountable for “Go to Market” strategy for new Mobile releases, driving customer adoption and internal colleague excitement Responsible for defining the overall mobile strategy, cost effective and within budget – considering single app vs. multi app integration, global vs. regional vs. market level nuances, and how app experiences relate to each other to deliver and delight customers. Own platform-wide business decisions such as app store and browser support Support decision making and prioritization for various value streams in instances of potential competing priorities Work with technology solution architecture to determine the best architecture to meet the different business needs of the platform Accountable for Third Party Vendor management across key mobile services  Define platform changes required to deliver mobile features in markets due to regulatory/competitive reasons  Make the right priority calls and trade-offs in alignment with business, technology and delivery Lead product management team delivering for mobile Work as part of value stream leadership to deliver a consistent global product and ensure digital product management disciplines are in place Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience of using data, insights and benchmarking to define and executing global strategies Proven experience of dealing with C-Suite level executives of global businesses Proven experience of running large scale portfolios of change initiatives USD40m portfolios Proven experience in working with Digital platforms ( DSP) and Mobile architecture in iOS and Android.  Proven experience in managing day-to-day technical and design direction at scale. Experience in agile ways of working and operational value streams Experience in Digital transformation; as well as planning and deploying change initiatives. Proven record of innovation and implementation through strong teamwork Experience in solution design including creation of value propositions Knowledge of market trends, new technologies and Fintech products Experience in leading a team and influencing key stakeholders, at all levels Knowledge of WPB customer platforms and propositions is a plus

Skills and Abilities

Well versed in disciplines of Digital Product Management and related functional areas such as Engineering, UX/UI, Finance or Marketing.
