Your new companyOur client is a prominent organization in the public safety sector, located in Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon. They are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join their dynamic team for a critical project. This role offers the opportunity to enhance database management practices and contribute to data security initiatives within a vital sector.

Your new role

Implement and manage database encryption strategies to safeguard sensitive data, ideally with experience in Hardware Security Modules (HSM).Utilize Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and synchronization between various databases, including Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQL.Configure and administer Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle FarSync to ensure high availability and effective disaster recovery solutions.Conduct performance testing and capacity planning within User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments to enhance database performance.Collaborate with development teams on data-related tasks, including data migration, integration, quality assurance, and data development techniques such as ETL processes and data transformation methodologies.

What you'll need to succeed

A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.Solid experience with Oracle databases on Linux platforms, along with knowledge of Linux administration.Proficiency in shell scripting (Python/Bash), as well as PLSQL and SQL.Familiarity with Oracle RAC is highly desirable; experience with MSSQL or MariaDB will be considered a plus.Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with teams to ensure data integrity and quality.
