Executive Director- Mechanical Design and Engineering (Macao based)2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Direct message the job poster from Sands China Responsibilities: Lead Mechanical system engineering calculations and design development for various Sands China Limited (SCL) projects to improve efficiencies and strengthen operational capabilities. Act as the SCL authority on life safety and smoke control system design (non-Fire Services trade) and IBC, NFPA, and Macau building code requirements. With expertise in mechanical and plumbing engineering design, provide mentorship to mid to junior level mechanical and plumbing engineering design team members and lead training efforts for manager, ACE, and CE-level facilities MEP operations team members. Carry out investigative projects for SCL resort properties regarding ongoing high humidity, mold growth, uncomfortable thermal conditions, and air quality issues. Give presentations and meetings to Executives and Department heads to explain operational and strategic plans. Assist Facilities management and SCL Division leaders with environmental and MEP support (including CCMS configuration and system control logic) to provide exceptional guest experience, asset protection and energy reduction measures. Project management role for investigative projects and subsequent renovation, overseeing project financials and quality controls for MEP, Fire Services, and ELV disciplines. Contract administration duties including review and observation of contractor's testing and commissioning responsibilities for mechanical systems. Areas of responsibility include but not limited to: A&A MEP design, Facilities MEP troubleshooting and improvement support, DPM projects support, Sustainability project evaluation / Financial review. Requirements: At least 10 years of relevant MEP engineering design and project management experience, with prior experience in M&E building services consultancy. Experience in building services design for hospitality, large scale complex development preferred. Good understanding and familiar with local authority requirements, regulations, standards, and ordinances on M&E building services with planning, construction, and operations.
