About the role The Quality Assurance Engineer leads pre-shipment inspection and supports supplier validation. They answer technical inquiries from internal and external sources. They also maintain product and supplier technical documentation in Heroes’ system and are involved in renewing product compliance documentation and product improvement projects when necessary. Responsibilities Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI)Instruct suppliers via 3rd party service providers based on PO cycles, ensure the inspection is in place, and maintain aligned GRD. Circulate the PSI result to the related team. Manage 3rd party service providers daily to ensure the inspection checklist is validated and aligned with suppliers. Follow any CAP if needed. Supplier Validation - Support Support the team in on-site reviews and evaluate suppliers’ product development technical ability, production capability, quality management, and production quality control, providing feedback to the line manager. Assist the line manager in collecting, filing, and reviewing new supplier certifications and quality manuals, and chase pre- and post-audit CAP updates. Assist in factory audit booking via 3rd party service providers. Technical Inquiries - Support Act as QA representative from the quality department to respond to product and technical-related questions from various internal segments and external suppliers or channels. Work closely with the customer service department to support technical data and quality documentation. Technical Pack Maintenance Own and maintain compliance tracker. Gather existing product and packaging technical information from suppliers according to the technical pack checklist and file it in the corresponding server. Support the team in improving technical document formats and keep information in documents up to date. Product Compliance Tracking or Renewal Support the team in filling out product testing application forms and assist with product submissions to 3rd party laboratories if needed. Track various test schedules and push for results to meet agreed timelines. Follow up with suppliers to provide evidence supporting claims on packaging. Take ownership of compliance reports or certifications in the master file, tracking and maintaining compliance reports or certifications within the valid period. Product Improvement (PIm)Manage quality tickets daily to respond to internal requests or external factors. Inform the line manager of any product improvement opportunities from brand managers, product managers, customer service managers, Amazon online reviews, suppliers, or ESG changes that will lead to product changes. Provide investigations or analyses of product improvement opportunities with cause and effect, cost, and benefit. Support the line manager in executing and implementing changes. Support product change execution in terms of laboratory testing to cope with compliance changes and avoid loss of sales or market share. About you Quality assurance/control and new product development experience (1-3 years minimum). University graduate in quality management/engineering. Real experience in factory or supplier audit or pre-shipment inspection is a plus. Familiarity with product inspection checklist creation is a must. Experience in building product testing plans is a plus. Familiarity with Illustrator and/or 3 D CAD software is a plus. Experience working in a multi-national business (retail or online preferred) with flexibility to accommodate cultural and time zone differences.
