Direct message the job poster from Paul Mak & Associates LtdWe represent the HK Consumer Council inviting application for the position of Chief Executive.RESPONSIBILITIESThe Chief Executive is responsible to the Chairman and Members of the Council for the efficient organisation and operation of the Council in accordance with Consumer Council Ordinance (Cap 216). He/she will oversee the strategic direction and operational management of the Council, ensuring its independence, transparency, and effectiveness in advocating for consumer rights and interests in a dynamic and evolving marketplace.REQUIREMENTSEducation QualificationsA recognised university degree or higher qualifications.Leadership Competency and ExperienceA minimum of 15 years of senior management experience in a consumer related or not for profit organisation or related field. Proven track record in leading and managing a reputable organisation of similar nature, scope, scale and complexity.Strong strategic and operational skills, with a clear vision and the ability to influence and inspire.Acquaintance with relevant Government policy bureaux/departments and/or liaison work.SkillsStrong understanding of consumer rights and interests, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders from both private and public sectors.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive organisational transformation in a cost-efficient and effective manner.Possessed the agility and ability to manage risks and handle issues or crises of different nature.Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in financial prudence, budget management and resource allocation.Strong communication and influencing skills as spokesperson of the Council.Personal AttributesPassion for and commitment to promoting and advancing consumer rights with fairness, integrity, independence, and diplomacy.Ability to navigate complex political, social and economic environments.Energetic, decisive, principled and sensitive to people and their needs.High efficiency in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds as well as international and Mainland organisations.Proficient in spoken and written Chinese and English, with competency in both Cantonese and Putonghua.RENUNERATION PACKAGEThe position is on a contractual basis with a term of two and a half years. It is ranked at D4 Directorate Pay Scale.Seniority level
