Job Description - Project Engineer, Systems (240861)This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.Responsibilities:Manage work contractors for project implementation and provide professional advice on technical and quality issuesReview submissions, method statements, design drawings, O&M manuals and as-constructed drawingsIdentify design and construction issues of the new Automated People Mover (APM) cars and liaise with maintenance and operation teams and work contractors to provide effective solutionsEnsure new APM cars and other APM enhancement projects are complied with the latest design codes and practices, international standards, the Authority's requirements and relevant statutory requirements, environmental and safety requirementsProvide engineering support to operation and maintenance teamLiaise with internal and external stakeholders on interfaces of the new APM cars contract with the existing APM SystemAssist in liaising with statutory bodies on the approval of the new APM cars for passenger serviceRequirements:Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 6 years' working experience of which 3 years' technical experience in APM, railway, rolling stock, signalling, communication, power distribution, platform screen doors or systems assuranceProfessional qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies is preferredExperience in design, construction, testing and commissioning, contract management, interface management and site supervision in brown field upgrade or refurbishment project is preferredProactive and detail-oriented with good interpersonal, communication, analytical, negotiation and organization skillsPossess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferredProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsGood command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua and/or Japanese is an advantage
