Project Manager, Data Governance (One Year Contract) (JOB-012025-266959) Hong Kong Our client, a leading insurance provider, is seeking a Data Governance Project Manager to drive the execution of data governance projects and initiatives across the organisation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and data strategy. Key Responsibilities: Lead the full project lifecycle for data management initiatives, ensuring compliance with project parameters, deadlines, budget, and quality benchmarks. Support the creation and refinement of data governance policies, procedures, and standards. Support change management initiatives to drive the adoption of data governance practices and tools, including user training and communication plans. Coordinate the deployment of data governance tools, including data cataloging platforms, MDM solutions, and self-service analytics tools. Ensure technical solutions align with data governance requirements and user needs. Act as the main point of contact for all inquiries and initiatives related to data governance, ensuring clear communication across all levels of the organization. Monitor project progress meticulously, ensuring that milestones are achieved and objectives are met within established timelines. Provide regular updates to senior management regarding project status, including any challenges faced and strategies for resolution. Launch and lead initiatives to promote the significance of data governance throughout the organization, fostering a culture of accountability. Establish and enforce robust data quality standards to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all platforms. Work closely with IT, compliance, and business units to define roles and responsibilities related to data governance, facilitating effective teamwork. Required Skills:7+ years of proven expertise in project management, with a specific focus on data management, operations, and governance. Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements. Proven ability to manage projects effectively, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Experience in executing data governance projects is a PLUS. Strong analytical skills to evaluate data quality and governance practices critically. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Capacity to analyze complex data issues and develop practical solutions that enhance governance processes.
