From welcoming new colleagues to best-in-class leadership development programmes, employee potentials will be identified and nurtured throughout their career with the Group.We are looking for a Head Sommelier / Sommelier / Assistant Sommelier based at Island Shangri-La, Hong KongAs a Head Sommelier / Sommelier / Assistant Sommelier, we rely on you to:Recommend wine pairings to ensure and enhance guest satisfactionTake orders and serve wines and other beveragesAssist direct supervisor in arranging wine dinner events, including contract agreement, wine sales proposal and wine menu pairingUpdate wine lists, maintain accurate wine sales records and control stock levels for the restaurantWe are looking for someone who has:Diploma / Degree in Food & Beverage, Wine Study, Hospitality Management or related disciplinesMinimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in fine dining restaurants in prestige Hotels of similar sizeSound knowledge of different wines and spiritsWell-versed with both internet and computer applicationsGood organizational, coordination and interpersonal skillsGood command of both English, Cantonese and PutonghuaCandidates with less experience will be considered as Sommelier / Assistant SommelierAll information provided by applicants will be treated in strict confidence and used only for recruitment purposes.
