Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:Planning, developing, coordinating and delivering courses (including face-to-face and distance learning modes) in related disciplines at the undergraduate, taught and research postgraduate levels;Undertaking and engaging in programme administration and development, and scholarly activities; andParticipating in School and University activities and administration.

CandidatesCandidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:a doctoral degree in Chinese Linguistics or Chinese Language Education; with relevant teaching experience in tertiary education, preferably including course/programme administration and curriculum development;relevant teaching qualification and solid experience in the Hong Kong education system and the Chinese language curriculum in local schools;a record of research and peer-reviewed publications, and involvement in professional and community services & activities; anda good command of written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and a reasonable command of English is preferred.
