Manager, Public Affairs & Communications Responsibilities: Public Affairs Leadership: Lead the public affairs strategy, aligning it with business goals to ensure successful market positioning. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to create a favorable public policy environment that supports our business objectives. Public Policy Advocacy: Monitor, analyze, and influence public policy developments and regulatory changes that impact our industry. Advocate for policies that align with our corporate interests and mission. Reputation Management: Safeguard the corporate reputation and business interests, ensuring a conducive environment for growth and development. Regulatory Affairs Coordination: Work with regulatory bodies and industry associations to ensure compliance and address any regulatory challenges. Develop strategies that facilitate smooth interactions with regulators. Strategic Partnerships: Work alongside regional stakeholders and corporate leadership to align on initiatives that foster collaboration and drive business growth. Business Acumen: Serve as a strategic partner across various business functions, evaluating complex scenarios, balancing risks, and making creative, high-impact decisions with a focus on end results. Engagement Programs: Plan and implement proactive engagement programs to cultivate strong relationships with government entities, political parties, legislators, industry associations, and other strategic stakeholder groups. Liaison Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive liaison plan for strategic stakeholders, addressing inquiries and enhancing their understanding of our business. Crisis Management: Provide effective support for handling crises and controversial issues from a stakeholder management and media perspective. Publicity Initiatives: Develop and execute community outreach initiatives, including briefings and visits, to enhance corporate visibility and engagement. Requirements: Experience: A minimum of 10 years of work experience in public affairs, public policy, government relations, stakeholder engagement, communications, and project management. Team Player: Friendly, passionate, and a creative problem solver. Business Acumen: Understanding of the current political & societal landscape, and emerging trends in the FMCG industry. Organizational Skills: Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail: Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail with excellent follow-through on deliverables. Communication Skills: Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
