Key ResponsibilitiesDirect ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and work on UNIX infrastructure projects in APAC data centres and colocationsServer capacity planning and deploymentSystem configuration, customization, optimization, and upgradeSystem resilience strategy and implementationReduced latency resulting in improved fill ratios for traders.Reduction in number and severity of System related incidentsUNIX patching automation to comply with BNPP Group IT Security StandardEssential Technical Knowledge / SkillsSolid understanding of operating system RedHat/LinuxIT Security and SSO tools on ArcSight, CyberArk, Centrify – plusSystem patching tools on RedHat SatelliteStrong architecture knowhow on IBM & HP Blade, p-Series, i-Series and x-SeriesAbility to write scripts in common administrative languages (shell, perl, python or etc)Complementary knowledge of scripting/automation/diagnostic software and toolsGood knowledge of Equity and high-frequency trading (HFT) business on 10GbE technologyPerform production support for critical Linux server platform in a fast pace environmentProvide direct user support and address system related requests in front office trading floorsServer x86 hardware and Linux performance fine-tuning and monitoringRHEL in-depth troubleshooting, problem management and root cause analysisOS / server provisioning, standardization, and policy control in a regional basisSupport roster on morning shift, holiday, and weekend are requiredOccasional travel in APAC for data center projectsContributing ResponsibilitiesAnalytical thinking and strong diagnostic abilityClient-oriented, strong communication and organization skillsGood team playerStrong initiative and multitaskingAbility to work under pressureContribute to the Permanent Control frameworkExperienced in system administration in Linux / RHEL for trading or business application environmentIn-depth knowledge of operating system, process, and kernelFamiliar with x86 hardware, server networking peripherals, and data center setupGood knowledge of scripting language (Bash, Python, Perl) and system tools to quickly formulate solutionsFamiliar with technical troubleshooting, system recovery, root cause analysis and remediation which involves coordination of vendors and remote technical staffsProvide support to X Window, Linux desktop software, and end-user equipment to local and remote usersAbility to provide balanced and quality advice, analysis, and guidance to application teams and business users on issues and requestsGood IT aptitude that comply with ITIL framework (Incident Management, Change Management)Specific Qualifications RequiredDegree in Information Technology related discipline, preferably with RHEL certificatesAt least 7 year experience in IT role of which 5 year experience as a UNIX SA or engineerAt least 3 year experience of working in a multi-national IT environment with strong background in service delivery and production support for critical systemsStrong communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact efficiently with team members, other support teams, and remote technical staffs such as data center smart-handsPrevious experience in an investment banking-focus business is highly appreciatedFluency in EnglishSeniority level
