Transition Exposure and Currency Management, VPWho we are looking forCF Global seeks an experienced and technically sophisticated buy-side trader. The successful individual is highly likely to have some buyside experience but may also have worked on the sell side in a trading role or in Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), execution consulting, electronic trading, or an algorithmic team.Why this role is important to usThe team you will be joining is a part of State Street (CF Global). CF Global combines best-in-class trading technology with tailored commission, management services, and advanced transaction cost analysis to help their clients reduce both explicit and implicit trading costs.Provide best execution in trading for CF Global’s clients by executing effectively with counterpartiesWork closely with counterparties and vendors to optimise executionAssist in ensuring an efficient trading process, feeding back TCA and broker analytics to continuously improveAssist in the development of new tools to improve trading, measurement (TCA), and implementationProvide ad-hoc and structured support to Head of Trading / other colleaguesWhat you will be responsible forAs a Transition Exposure & Currency Management Senior Trader, VP you will:Execute global equities, spot, and forward FX for long-only and hedge fund clientsCommunicate with client investors on pre-trade analysis and opportunitiesDefine trading strategy and implementation with trading teamMonitor market movements and communicate execution opportunities to investorsMonitor universe of investable securitiesEnsure proper communications with compliance from pre and post-tradeConduct transaction cost analysis to evaluate execution with the goal of improving trading efficiencyPerform quarterly formal TCA analysis and deliver meetings to clients and complianceStay current by studying and understanding global market structures for Equity and FX, as well as direct market access and underpinnings of algorithmic tradingPerform currency hedging (forward FX)Assist in managing broker relationshipsPerform due diligence via questionnaire and in-depth studies on brokers, smart-order routing, algorithm behavior, and dark pool structure and participantsManage system vendors (e.g., Bloomberg for Trading and TCA, ITG for FX TCA)Maintain trading procedures manualUpdate various screens and reports for weekly investment meetingsWork with Operations to ensure timely delivery of trading data to counterparty (broker, administrator)Drive automation of manual processesManage CashExecution and TCA ToolsMaintain trading procedures manualEvaluate and drive innovation and progress on TCA tools for all asset classesKeep abreast of industry trends and new providers of trading insightWork on tools for market intelligenceWork on tools for tracking down and sourcing liquidityWork on strategies for TCA benchmarkingWork on trading strategies for each order type and style and TCA benchmarkCreate and perform due diligence questionnaires and evaluations for brokers, dark pools, and other venuesWhat we valueHighest levels of integrityAbility to accept responsibilityStrong attention to detailPrior trading or market facing experience or interestEducation & Preferred QualificationsCustomer function approved personUndergraduate 2:1 in a technical subject preferredAbility to perform detailed data analysis (using Excel or other)Excellent communication skills and client focus with a keen sense of client serviceStrong technology skillsCFAExcel/VBA and statistics skills highly desirableAdditional requirementsCandidate should be proficient in Cantonese; English optional, Mandarin.Candidate should hold SFC type 1 and 2 Licenses, with additional SFC Type 4 and 5 licenses desirable.Are you the right candidate?
