Procurement Manager - Family-Owned Freight Forwarding Company, Hong Kong Our Client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Procurement Manager for a newly-created role within their family-owned Freight Forwarding company, located in the heart of Hong Kong. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of a trusted business. About Our Client: They are a family-owned Freight Forwarding company with a proud heritage of delivering reliable and customer-focused logistics solutions. In a fast-paced industry, they take pride in their commitment to personalized service, innovation, and efficiency. The Role: As the first-ever Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in streamlining procurement processes, fostering strong supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effectiveness in operations. Reporting directly to the management team, this individual will have the opportunity to shape and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's vision and goals. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute procurement strategies tailored to the needs of a Freight Forwarding business. Identify, evaluate, and establish strong partnerships with suppliers and vendors locally and globally. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings without compromising quality. Monitor market trends and assess risks to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations. Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with business objectives. Implement and manage systems for tracking procurement performance and reporting. What Our Client Is Looking For: Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the logistics or freight forwarding industry. Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of procurement best practices, market dynamics, and supplier management. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. A proactive mindset and a passion for building new processes from the ground up.
