In 2015, ALBA IWS was appointed by the HKSAR Government to operate an integrated waste management facility for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Hong Kong. Our services begin with free door-to-door collection and end with the removal of hazardous wastes and turning them into valuable secondary raw materials. We also refurbish WEEE and donate them to those in need. In this light, we are looking for an Assistant Plant Engineer who aspires to turn the dream of a world without waste into reality. The successful candidate for this challenging yet rewarding plant engineering role will enable and improve the operations of our recycling plant to ensure consistent quantity and quality of our Plant's operation. They will also lead maintenance and improvement programs of our infrastructures, while supporting optimization initiatives for our plant operation processes. Job Descriptions: Provide technical support to stakeholders ranging from functional leaders, engineers, plant supervisors and technicians. Maintain plant equipment reliability and efficiency while fulfilling compliance with statutory, contractual and production requirements. Coordinate all types of plant machinery maintenance, equipment upgrading and installation works. Address technical issues and trouble-shoot with design and engineering solutions to ensure fulfillment of production schedule, production targets and quality requirements. Review and modify established SOPs for continuous processes improvement. Plan and conduct necessary training for the operation staff in order to roll out and embed new solutions or improvements proposed in an accurate, meaningful way. Address our government client's concerns and queries on plant operations. Coordinate the effective usage of maintenance tracking software among plant operatives; warrant proper record control for plant maintenance activities. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Job Requirements: Bachelor degree or above in an engineering discipline (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) or equivalent.2 to 3 years of total work experience, preferably with some plant operation experience in manufacturing industry, heavy industry or waste recycling industry. Professional membership in engineering discipline will be an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders. Results-oriented and self-initiated. Proficient written English and Chinese, Native Cantonese, fluent Mandarin and English. Proficient to update CAD drawings; experience to develop CAD drawings an advantage. Experience with maintenance tracking software, such as Upkeep or equivalent.
