Formulating, communicating, and executing a holistic and forward-looking data strategy that leverages industry best practices around data and technology. Worked with cross-functional teams within the organization of different countries. Data management - Build up best practices and strategy of the data infrastructure and ensure it is aligned to the industrial standard. Lead the effective delivery of data platforms, pipelines, and processes that are scalable, secure, well performed and able to fulfill existing and future needs of the business development. Plan and execute data integration solutions by working with business and technical teams; identify new data source for business usage and provide consultancy on best practices around data integration. Lead and guide the engineering team for ad-hoc data extraction and report generation to business users. Ensure on-time and high quality of data and information delivery to requestor. Govern and control the data delivered to different stakeholders. Business Intelligence implementation - Project management on Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence implementation. Work closely with business on requirement gathering; prioritize business information needs. Design data model, ETL jobs, metrics, KPI, reports, dashboards and data visualizations. Verify BI deliverables, to ensure accuracy, and that business requirement has been met. Coordinate with external vendors on BI tools workshops and other system maintenance and support. Data Analytics - Develop and implement data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Provide integrated insight, advisory and analyses that help drive business revenue via analysis on customer behavior and marketing initiatives (subscription acquisition & retention, and cross-sell initiatives, etc.). Provide guidance and coach data analysts to support all data analytical functions and projects to identify business opportunities and area of improvements of organization. Innovation and Continuous Improvement - Emerging latest data technologies and capabilities and driving adoption to add value to the existing data environment and the organization wherever possible. Ease the data tagging management on web and product apps. Facilitate the product UX/UI enhancement via data driven model. Constantly seek to improve operations and capabilities in terms of costs, time, and quality. Other General Responsibilities - Gather and transform complex business and functional requirements into detailed technical designs. Work with cross-functional team at organization and country level (APAC countries such as Singapore, Philippines and Thailand). Job Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Information System, Information Management or related discipline. At least 10 years of demonstrated industry experience in Data warehouse, ETL, BI, Big data or analytics areas and broad exposure to all its sub-disciplines. Passionate about data and analytics; willing to work with large, complex and multiple data sets from various sources to discover the power and insight of data for statistical analysis and predictive modeling to derive meaningful insights and actionable conclusions. Expert in data architecture, data modelling and design, data integration and engineering (ETL, batch and streaming), administration and operations, operational uses (API and web backend) with requirements on scalability and availability. Proven experience in the implementation of data system that services DW, BI and analytics (predictive modelling, machine learning etc.). Good understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities and eager to learn new technologies and tools. Proficient and experienced in the following area: Database: My SQL / Postgre SQL / Redshift / Redshift Spectrum / Other columnar DBs. Integration Services: Data Stage / Informatica / BI tools: Cognos / Qlik View / Tableau / Programming, scripting and querying language: Java / Python / SQL / Shell scripts / Cloud services: AWS (EC2, S3, Athena, Glue, Batch) / Google Cloud / Big data architecture and technologies: Hadoop / HDFS / Lambda / Athena / Map Reduce. Knowledge in the following is a plus: Database: No SQL DB (Mongo DB / Cassandra / Redis / HBase / Amazon Dynamo DB) / Programming language: Scala / Big data technologies: Spark / Kafka / Kinesis / Machine Learning. Have an eye for detail and demonstrate a restless curiosity. Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skill. Flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment and manage your own time and in a high paced work environment and tight timeline.
