Job Description
In 2024 summer, we provide internship positions in various business streams. During the 8-week internship , you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our staff on important projects. Interns will be assigned with different duties depending on the business line’s arrangement. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform assignments
Assist on developing solutions for routine technical problems
Carry out tasks with supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment policy
Qualifications
Minimum Requirement
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant disciplines with regard to the business stream(s) applied
Preferred Qualifications
Preferably a penultimate year university student in relevant field of study but not a must
BIM knowledge and experience gained through coursework or projects is highly preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Chinese is preferred but not a must
Ability to perform in a team environment with demonstrated record in previous experience is preferred
Self-motivated, willing to learn and accept challenges with positive attitude

Building Engineering – MEP
(Sustainability / Fire Engineering / Mechanical / HVAC / Fire Services / Plumbing & Drainage / Electrical / Electronics / Building Services)
Our M&E team is involved in the related engineering design and construction of all types of buildings and infrastructure projects. Building projects include commercial, industrial, leisure, sports, resorts, institutional, residential, public housing and healthcare projects. Infrastructure projects include railway, airport, highway, tunnels and infrastructure facilities. Our inhouse multi-disciplinary engineering team (civil, structure, planning, …) and strong international collaborations attracted unique project opportunity to enhance the staff engineering experience.
Building Engineering – Structural (Structural, Civil, Geotechnical, Façade, Materials and Project Construction Management)
We have brought to life many of the world’s iconic buildings, solving the complex challenges that often accompany pioneering ideas, through our ability to deploy leading edge technology such as virtual and augmented reality, as well as tap into the relevant experience across our global network. Our Structural Engineering team delivers creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.
Urbanism + Planning – Economics
The Economics team helps developing strategies that respond to the market, attract financing and enable implementation for clients, such as private entities, government agencies and non-profit organizations. We inform project design by addressing the implications of public policies and regulations, site conditions, mitigation requirements, development and financing costs, as well as phasing and execution challenges to create value, manage risk and improve prospects for success.
Urbanism + Planning – Landscape Architecture
The Landscape Architecture team is a team of passionate and creative designers utilize a design-driven and process-oriented approach to ensure that every project’s long-term success involves a sustainable environment and enhanced quality of life. Our commitment to innovation, design quality, social inclusion, and the thoughtful use of natural resources ensures that we provide the best value possible to our clients and the community.
Urbanism + Planning – Urban Design
Our planning and urban design practice has the specialized expertise needed to address the broad range of policy frameworks that guide development through to the three-dimensional evaluation and planning of spaces at both master planning and urban design scales. Our urban design practice operates at the intersection between architecture and landscape architecture and establishes appropriate scaling and interfaces of urban spaces.
Urbanism + Planning – Urban Planning
Our work positively impacts communities through the design and planning of artful social spaces combining sustainable infrastructure with cultural relevance and expression. The thoughtful integration of flood control, green stormwater, active mobility and natural habitats advances urban resiliency and performance. To minimize risk and ensure success in placemaking, we focus our attention on the relationship between buildings, the public realm and associated urban infrastructure.
Environment
The Environment team provides advisory and technical services to help clients achieve compliance, manage impacts, and reduce or even eliminate risks. Our services enable you to anticipate and manage the environmental impact at each stage of the project - planning and obtaining permits for new facilities; decommissioning, cleanup and closure of contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities; restoration for reuse; addressing critical climate change issues; protection or restoration of habitats and water quality; and preservation of cultural resources.
Geotechnical & Geology (Civil and Geotechnical / Geology / Earth Science / Geoscience)
Our Geotechnical expertise provides the robust foundation for infrastructure development. We help our clients to overcome complex topographical challenges to their projects by developing viable solutions to projects such as tunnels, caverns, slopes, site formation, deep excavation, reclamation, site investigation, and ground improvement. We provide one-stop access to a full range of services for an efficient and effective delivery of geotechnical solutions, from feasibility study, to detailed design, to project management including contract administration and construction supervision. Engineering Geology is a separate sub-stream under the Geotechnical team. Our geological specialists provide professional geological services to facilitate the design and construction of engineering works.
Our geological expertise provides the robust foundation for infrastructure development, helping clients to overcome complex ground engineering and geological challenges to their projects, developing unique solutions where needed. We provide one-stop access to the full range of services for the efficient and effective delivery of geological solutions, from feasibility studies, to detailed design, to project management including contract administration and construction supervision. Our engineering geology team is a separate sub-stream under the Geotechnical team providing geological, geomorphological, Ground Investigation/lab testing, natural terrain hazard and soil and rock engineering services for tunnel/cavern, slope stability/landslide, deep foundation and excavation work areas.
Land Supply / Municipal (Civil Infrastructure & Project Management including Traffic Planning)
The Land Supply / Municipal team is a dedicated and experienced team of engineers, specialists and project managers who work closely with local governments and private developers to provide professional services in areas such as traffic planning, highways and bridges together with civil infrastructure and planning. We offer sustainable solutions to build a better environment for the community.
Program, Cost, Consultancy (Quantity Surveying)
Our Quantity Surveying team provides cost management and other specialist consultancy services to public-sector and private-sector clients both locally and overseas. Our focus is managing costs to drive cost effective design solutions and pushing the boundaries in effective cost management though digitisation and IT adoption. Project sectors encompass private and public sector building works such as residential, commercial, hospitality and tourism, institutional and education, sports, recreation and leisure. For Civil Engineering work, our offerings include cost management for civil Infrastructure, tunnelling, reclamation and marine, water and wastewater, geotechnical works, highways at-grade roads and viaducts construction and metro railway projects. Quantity Surveying expertise for land supply projects, transportation projects, water and wastewater projects and boundary crossing point projects.
Transportation (Transit, Aviation, Ports and Marine, Civil Infrastructure)
Working with local municipalities, government agencies, commercial clients and alternative delivery partners, we are building, modernizing and expanding transportation systems that unlock untapped potential for raising national productivity, environmental sustainability, and quality of life. Our Transportation team of planners, engineers and technical specialists provide professional services in areas such as aviation, rail and transit, ports and marine, highways and bridges, speciality bridges, civil and structural designs. Our global network of top-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries.
Water (Civil, Environmental & E&M)
We cannot imagine a world without water, so we imagine ways to manage the water resources available today to preserve and produce this vital resource. Solutions that both sustain human and environmental needs require a deep understanding of the interconnected systems in urban and rural communities as well as the ecosystem. Our Water team provides comprehensive delivery solutions for water, rainwater, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
