About the Role

Deliver quality service, effective output in performance and strategic actuarial initiatives in order to be Next Gen Finance+

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support the digitalization of actuarial team
  • Leverage next generation technology and digital solutions to improve actuarial workflows and processes to enhance efficiency to accelerate strategic objectives
  • Derive insights and foresights across the actuarial value chain from advanced data analytic


Support to prepare high quality deliverables related to actuarial model development and data management independently
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Integrated Reporting Team, Group Office and other internal departments to support the development and maintenance of the Prophet modelling platform for AIA HK.
  • Assist the roll out of actuarial initiatives with financial and strategic impact analysis
  • Support the strengthening of actuarial data management for corporate actuarial work
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements


Support the experience monitoring and assumption review
  • Review experience studies/reports and propose assumptions timely.
  • Report if any adverse trend and abnormality is observed.


Support other actuarial projects as required

Minimium Job Requirements:
  • University / College graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Statistics, Business Administration or related subject with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Good progress in Actuarial professional examination
  • Good communication, presentation and basic project management skills
  • Knowledge in insurance product and financial reporting basis, e.g. IFRS4/USGAAP, IFRS17, embedded value, HKRBC, HK STAT, economic capital is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. VBA) and Actuarial Software (e.g. Prophet) is an advantage
